Archaeological Presentation with Archae-Aus – Mandurah Museum

May 17 @ 12:00 - 13:00

FREE

Dr Fiona Hook from Archae-Aus will share the fascinating findings from last year’s excavation, focusing on the artefacts uncovered and their historical and cultural significance. Dr Hook will discuss how these objects were used, what they reveal about life in the region, and how the excavation process itself unfolded.

The workshop will explore tools used by Aboriginal people and how they adapted to their environment and climate changes over 60,000 years. It will also cover the experiences of early European settlers, from the founding of the Swan River Colony to the stations in the Kimberley and Pilbara.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a deeper understanding of both Aboriginal culture and early colonial history in Western Australia, offering a unique chance to engage with the archaeological process and the uncovering of history.

Bookings essential as places are limited.
