Contemporary Embroidery Display – Falcon Library and Community Centre

September 2 @ 09:00 - October 31 @ 18:00

FREE

Falcon Library and Community Centre showcases incredible skill and artistry by members of the Dawesville Embroiderers’ Guild of WA.

Celebrating 55 years of creativity and tradition in 2024, this display delves into a world where needle and thread weave tales of artistry and heritage, depicting a Mandurah Fishing Village.

This miniature model turns the notion of the traditional embroidery sampler on its head, instead of embroidered alphabets and prayers, expect to see an installation that illustrates our community from the past with a modern twist.

Dawesville Embroiderers’ Guild of WA meet every Thursday from 1pm-4pm at Falcon Library and Community Centre. Anyone interested in the art of embroidery is welcome to join in or learn more from this welcoming group of creatives.
