Meet The Artist Night!
As part of our collaborative exhibition The Magic of Nature with Jacqueline and Dani, I am hosing a night dedicated to our love of the night sky.
I will be giving a talk on how I discovered my fascination with astrophotography and the journey to professional astrophotographer; including a few hiccups along the way (like that time a few backpackers thought I was a ghost, that time I got stranded at Natures Window, and not forgetting the evening spent sipping champagne with kangaroos on a salt pan in the Goldfields). But also my love for teaching and creating safe places for all people to enjoy the wonders of our cosmos.
I will be joined by the preeminent expert in all things astro Carol Redford, founder of Astrotourism WA and Stargazers Club WA.
Carol will be sharing her wonderful insights into how we can preserve our view of the universe and the work she is doing with many shires around WA to combat light pollution.
Stick around after the talks to chat with Carol and myself, enjoy the photography exhibition and listen to the live music and enjoy one of the beers brewed on site. I highly recommend the ginger beer!
