We’ve partnered with Grow It Local on their mission to make life happier, healthier, and more delicious and are hosting a long table dinner with a menu curated from local home grown ingredients directly from your garden.
Experience the journey from patch to plate at our long table dinner event. Our guest speaker, Neville Passmore from The Garden Gurus, will share his extensive knowledge on sustainable gardening practices, offering valuable insights to enhance your gardening journey. This community dining experience celebrates the joys of growing, sharing, and eating locally grown food.

The meal will be prepared based on produce picked and donated by you. We encourage you to bring your fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables to the Mandurah Council Chambers/Civic Centre at 83 Mandurah Terrace on Saturday, March 8th, between 10am and 12 noon. Our chef and Mr Paella will transform your contributions into a delicious meal.
Ticket includes:
- Two-course meal: Paella, salad, and dessert (simple food packed with home-grown flavour!)

Grow It Local is an Australian community initiative dedicated to encouraging individuals to grow, share, and consume locally produced food. The platform connects backyard, balcony, and community gardeners, fostering a network where members can exchange knowledge, share produce, and access resources to enhance their gardening skills. By promoting sustainable practices and local food consumption, Grow It Local aims to make gardening more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Additional event details:
- This is a no-alcohol event.
- We will try our best to use all donated ingredients but can’t guarantee the use of everything.
- Donations of produce need to be delivered the day before (we can’t accept donations at the event).
- We are unable to accept any pre-prepared food (freshly picked ingredients only, like items for a garden salad or fruit salad).
- Contributions of fresh plant food only (no contributions of mushrooms, eggs, fish, or meat will be accepted).
- Limited capacity to cater for specific dietary requirements.
- If we have wet or very windy weather, this event will move indoors (check your email on the day).
