Learn about Volunteering Workshop – Mandurah Performing Arts Centre

FREEThis free workshop is part of National Volunteer Week and celebrates the important role volunteering plays in bringing people together and building a strong, inclusive community.
It is designed especially for people with disability and their support workers who want to learn more about what volunteering could look like for them.
Volunteering is a meaningful way to connect with others, build confidence, and take part in community life. This workshop is about supporting people with disability to explore volunteering in a way that suits their interests, strengths and support needs.
Support workers are encouraged to attend, as they play an important role in helping people discover what’s possible and feel supported throughout the journey.
The workshop includes:
- Presentations from the City of Mandurah and Peel Volunteer Resource Centre
- Tips on how to get started as a volunteer in a way that works for you
- Information about different volunteering roles in the community
- Morning tea and mindful colouring activities
This is a friendly and supportive session for people with disability and their support workers to learn together, ask questions, and find out how volunteering can be a positive and rewarding part of life.
