WADING OUT – Mandurah Performing Arts Centre

This exhibition is a selection of work created over the past year by our Art of Wellbeing Painting Group.
The group is made up of participants who all use art to benefit their health and wellbeing and is led by artist Peter Munday. Our group experiment with a variety of techniques and styles to create their work, mainly using acrylic painting techniques. Last year the same group exhibited for the first time under the title ‘Toes in the Water’. This year, with more confidence and experience, our exhibition is called ‘Wading Out’. Our artists are going further and getting a little deeper into their artistic journey. This year we partnered with our Poetry group ‘Inkclusive’ to interpret their poems, creating original artworks to add form and colour to their already beautiful words.
People are referred to our group through a range of organisations, we even have people who self refer. There is no charge for our group and, this year, we have received funding from Community Bank Halls Head to enable us to keep the sessions free and accessible to all. If you feel that you’d like to use art to benefit your wellbeing please contact manpac@manpac.com.au for more information. Please note, unfortunately we currently have an active waiting list to join our groups.
Exhibition Dates: 10/12/25 – 13/01/25
Exhibition Opening Celebration Event: 10th December 2025, 12pm. All are welcome.
Thanks as always to our supporters at Community Bank Halls Head & the Art of Wellbeing Mandurah.
